Even if one were to accept the premise that mental immaturity leads to pedophilic proclivities, which is dubious, it is overwhelmingly obvious that one's media interests do not betray one's "mental age". What you are saying is that if a man watches cartoons for children, then his "mental age" is "still [that of] a child". The reverse might be true, but cartoons do not define one's mental age. In other words, even if having the "mental age" of a child leads to one watching cartoons for children, it does not necessarily mean that watching cartoons for children leads to having the "mental age" of a child.

There are, of course, differences between mental makeups of a typical adult and a typical child, and most "grown men who're into media for children", I'm willing to surmise, overlap more with the former rather than the latter by the merit of their adulthood experiences and mature physiology. Generally, you can only find adults or adolescents who specifically choose to infantilise themselves (e.g., by behaving immaturely, "cutely", which often looks like a mockery of how children behave anyway), which is so very common nowadays among furries, trannies, pedophiles, and other wantons, and it is, ironically, uncommon among bronies.
